The European Consortium for Action on the Socio-Economic Determinants of Health (DETERMINE) launches its final publication

The DETERMINE Consortium, of which the IUHPE is an active member, has recently launched its final publication. The publication incorporates DETERMINE outcomes and positions them as an EU added value contribution to global effort and momentum for action. Both French and Spanish versions of the final publication will soon be available. The DETERMINE Consortium has spent the past three years working to address and stimulate action on the social and economic determinants of health inequities in European Union member states and at the EU level. The Consortium brought together over 50 health bodies, public health and health promotion institutes, governments, and various other non-governmental professional and academic organisations from 26 European countries to collaborate in a constructive way, building on existing global evidence of the problems, and focusing on identifying solutions by drawing on existing examples of policy and practice in European countries. For further information and access to the Consortium’s publications and outcomes, visit the DETERMINE portal
