I am a graduate of the National University of Buenos Aires, Argentina and I received my master degree in Social Medicine and my Ph. D in Medical Anthropology from the National School of Anthropology and History, Mexico. I have been involved in health promotion and education for 25 years as an educator and researcher. I was founder and head of the Health and Education Research Unit at the Metropolitan Autonomous University, Xochimilco campus where I am currently Full Time Professor and member of the Mexican National Research System. I have been a consultant to UNICEF, PAHO, UNESCO and an advisor to other agencies and Latin American Universities. I am the author of numerous articles and two books: La salud de todos a todos moviliza y Salud, Género y Programas de Estudios de la Mujer en México
