Eun Woo Nam is a Professor of Public Health and Health Promotion at the College of Health Sciences at the Yonsei University in Wonju Campus. He was the first Director of the Institute of Health Sciences at the Kosin University, 1990-1992 and a Professor in the Department of Healthcare Administration. From 1992-1993, he was a visiting researcher at the Department of International Health Faculty of Medical Sciences in the University of Tokyo. From 2002-2004, he was a visiting researcher at the Department of Policy Sciences in the National Institute of Public Health in Japan. Also, From 2003.3 -2003.9, he was a visiting scholar at the Department of Health Promotion Faculty of Health in the University of Brighton in UK. Recently, he was a member of the Working Group for the Fukuoka Healthy City Project in Japan. Currently, he is a Committee Member of Healthy Life for Seoul Metropolitan Government and Technical Adviser of the Health City for the Wonju City Government. He has published widely in Health Promotion and Health Policy fields. His main areas of research interest are health promotion and health education and Japanese public health system. He received his MPH in Yonsei University in Seoul 1986 and Ph.D. in Medical Sciences (Public Health) from Toho University, Japan in 1991
